Message from the Executive Director
Why Invest in Your Chamber?
The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce has been supporting member businesses since 1966. The Ridgefield Chamber’s mission is to promote economic vitality through member engagement, hospitality, collaboration, education and advocacy. How we do this is best described in the acronym N.E.A.T, which stands for networking, education, advocacy and tourism. The Chamber is a “not-for-profit, not for charity but for service business.” What we do is funded with member dues, sponsorships and fundraising. We look for member
involvement in time, talents and funds to reach our common goals together. The Chamber is a community that gives back proportionately to those who invest their time and treasure here. Basic membership is affordable starting as low as $260 per year, and the real value comes from being involved!
Social Networking
The Chamber has networking events where members can socialize and do business with other Chamber members. We have several “referral groups” that meet weekly and develop a strong network of support. The Chamber sends out frequent email communications on events and educational and business resources. Chamber members may choose to be on committees that are grass-roots opportunities to get connected and get things done.
Participation in Local Committees
Chamber committees have talented and involved volunteers that sit on the boards elsewhere including Community Boards and Commissions, Business Organizations, Non-Profit Agencies and Cultural Institutions. They are “behind-the-scenes specialists” with backgrounds in community trouble shooting. They have the knowledge and experience needed to help you, and make this community a better place to live, work, visit and do business.
Political Independence
The Chamber is non-partisan and not affiliated with any political party; it is neither financed nor indebted to any local, state or federal government agency. It is our goal to work with our leaders and support a business-friendly environment that will support our economic development.
Power in Numbers
Through various efforts of the Chamber, such as establishing a rapport with local officials and groups, we are able to provide a strong voice for members that will impact ordinances, legislation, planning for future business development and other issues affecting business. The Chamber also provides cost-savings in insurance provided through local agents and Chamber Insurance Trust and would be happy to consider ways that save members money and support community businesses.
Join the Chamber and get involved
in a great community! If you’re a resident, join or donate to help business in town and stay informed. If you are a member, thanks for your ongoing participation and support
